Agriculture (AGR)

This class introduces students to the agricultural industry, including historical developments, contemporary challenges, and future trends. This course will include but not be limited to global agriculture, rural development, the place of humanities, the professions, science and technology, etc.

This course introduces students to the centrality of natural science in agriculture. The course will include but not be limited to animal science, crop science, economics, food systems, soil science, etc.

These courses will expose students to the role of agriculture in human experience broadly understood. Sample courses could be Agriculture Literature, Animal Rights, Ethics and the Environment, History of Agriculture, Sociology of Agriculture, etc.

This course introduces students to the relationship of business to agriculture. The course will include, but not be limited to issues in entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, management, technology, etc.

These courses will expose students to the intersection of agriculture and professional education. Sample courses could be Agriculture Education, Agriculture and Health, Agriculture Policy and Advocacy, Rural Development and Community Planning, etc.

These courses will provide students with hands-on experience in agriculture areas. Sample courses will be apprenticeships, field experience/practicum, internships, guided projects, research experience, etc.
